Now that the sun has come out a little more, flowers are starting to bloom, and the birds are as loud as ever, it is time to acknowledge spring is here. We all love to switch out our winter wardrobes for our spring clothes, so why not do the same thing for makeup?

3 simple things to try out if you want to step up

                                                             your makeup for this season

In my opinion, the easiest way to amp up your spring makeup is by

                           Adding a Little More Color

Typically using bright colors can be a little intimidating, but it doesn't have to be! To add an easy

pop of color, use a bright eyeliner on your lower lash line, or even on your upper lash line if you

are feeling extra bold. Lavender or teal ones are my favorites for spring.

If you would rather play up your lips, opt for a bright lip gloss.I find that when dabbling in bright lip colors, wearing a gloss is easier to pull off then a bold liptick.

 Switch to a Cream Blush

Spring is all about that fresh, dewy skin.  For that reason I love to switch out my powder blushes for cream ones. They give the most beautiful natural flush, and you can easily build them up to get the desired color intensity.

My favorite ones are from the brand Stila, and they come in gorgeous colors, are paraben-free and have great staying power!

One thing that is amazing for achieving that dewy skin look is Highlighter

It is my personal favorite makeup product of all time and is perfect for that glowing appearance.

With a fan brush simply apply the highlighter of your choice on the tops of your cheek bones, down the bridge of your nose, and on your cupids bow. To look extra radiant, add a little right above the arch of your eyebrow. Please remember, all is good in moderation.

One of the most popular highlighters is theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer, .3 oz but if you want a more subtle glow, I also recommend the ambient lighting powders from Hourglass.

MaryLou manizer by the Balm $24.

My favorite part of spring is the inspiration of fresh life and all that comes with it; the dew in the grass, radiant glow and vibrant colors everywhere bringing excitement. It is the perfect time to  make some changes to your makeup routine. I hope these techniques will inspire you to try new  things, and...

                                                        Embrace the Season!
